Hi all, I have the following qemu commandline on an i3 or i5 CPU (both behave the same), Windows XP (Standard PC installation) runs fine, Windows 7 and Windows 8 reboot in an infinite loop either shortly before the logo is displayed (Windows 7) or after the boot logo is displayed (Windows 8). On a core2duo T7700 - with exactly the same command line (ComExpress Module was just exchanged) everythin runs great.
My command line is: /disc/qemu/qemu-system-x86_64 -daemonize -cpu core2duo -nodefaults -vga cirrus -readconfig /usr/X11R6/X11etc/ich9-ehci-uhci.cfg -device usb-host,bus=ehci.0,hostbus=3 -device usb-host,bus=ehci.0,hostbus=5 -device usb-host,bus=ehci.0,hostbus=6 -device usb-tablet -drive file=/dev/sdb,cache=off -m 1536 -net nic,vlan=0,model=virtio,macaddr=AC:DE:48:10:4D:67 -net tap,vlan=0,script=/usr/X11R6/X11etc/qemu-ifup -monitor telnet:127.0.0.1:5100,nowait,server -vnc :1 -L /disc/qemu -boot c -localtime -enable-kvm -no-shutdown qemu compiled from git, the ich-chipset config file is from qemu/docs. I also tried -cpu host, to exclude some side effects to the core2duo cpu-settings, no effect. The same effects are seen on qemu-1.2.0, too! Any hints or suggestions to narrow down the cloud of possible error sources are appreciated. Thanks. Best regards, Erik
