The same warnings hit libvirt on OS-X too and some pragmas were
sufficient to shut it up

    _Pragma ("GCC diagnostic push")
    _Pragma ("GCC diagnostic ignored \"-Wdeprecated-declarations\"")

    .... sasl code...

    _Pragma ("GCC diagnostic pop")
