i'm hoping to keep a brand new install of ubuntu-server on a new machine as "ubuntu" as possible and not resort to `./configure ; make ; make install`'ing qemu but ubuntu seems to have only 1.4.0 in their package repositories.
a quick google search didn't help. is there a repository out there i can use for qemu? i assume there are a few performance improvements and bug fixes since 1.4 so i'd rather stay recent. thanks.
