Occasionally if the list server is having a bad day it can lag by hours, but mostly it's just a few minutes. If you're wondering if a mail you sent has gone out then it's better to check the list archives rather than sending a test email (the archives suffer from the same lag as other recipients, but on the other hand if the archive got a copy so did everybody else). thanks -- PMM
