The setup: PC and laptop both Slackware 15.0_64 - (the laptop is the
only computer I own with hardware virtualisation.) Both are running with
a GUI. Laptop has Qemu v6.20 installed.
From the PC, I connect to the laptop using telnet. I was starting VMs on
the laptop like this:
"qemu-system-i386 -m 2048 -hda alpine.img -accel kvm -vnc :1"
I accidentally found that if I left off the vnc option like this:
"qemu-system-i386 -m 2048 -hda alpine.img -accel kvm"
...the VM opens on my PC, although the laptop is the host. Does anyone
know why or how this works? This behaviour is not seen with a standard
ssh connection, just port 23 telnet. My PC has connection to X11 enabled
(xhost +) and the connection is on port 6000. Any thoughts?
