Many of the Austrian / German / Swiss community members attend FOSSGIS, and some of them might have problems to attend the hackfest if it is too close to the conference. If there are alternative dates, could you make a doodle (http://www.doodle.com) to check what dates would be suitable? Though the date that fits for everyone probably does not exist.
