[Qgis-developer] QGIS on mac crashes with rasters

Hi all.
Sorry about my deep ignorance about OSX. In a course, one of the students
installed QGIS on her mac from http://www.kyngchaos.com/software/qgis.
Everything went well, but when starting to use rasters she is getting
constant crashes.
Any special thing one should do to fix this?
