I agree with try to release it ASAP, but
+1 to wait another week instead of release another broken version.
And would be good doing 2-3 days of _further_ tests before
the call for packaging as well.
IMHO we should:
- release 1.7.3RC1 ASAP, possibly today
- announce it and call for testing
- release it after 10 days, if no blocker arise.
I think we should use the RC approach from now on.
