Thanks a lot for your help Giovanni!!
As I told you already I think I do not have enough critical data to
really test all user cases - so a small team would be fine..
I'll wait for your feedback .. try to solve all reported problems - and
afterwards do a release ..
Please keep in mind that we do not backport new features .. some
reported bugs are solved by introducing new features .. 
Thats what 1.8 will be for .. 

So thanks again a lot .. Let's try to catch all possible bugs ..
