I agree, I certainly used these stats in many many many presentations over the past 5 years to show how vibrant the project is :) My favourite stat is to show how many committers there were in last 12 months, it's always encouraging. You should be able to have both repositories listed on ohloh, I think I did it with other sites before. Only git was enlisted. I assume someone removed the SVN enlistment for a reason, but I just added it back in. Feel free to remove it if I shouldn't have added it, but I think it should give you back the history without too much grief with overlaps. Will take a while to show up.
