Because I was lacking a better idea, I just filled in
* the maximum value of any attribute for histograms

in my case, it selected the attribute with the max value, but it did not
autofill the
max value.
I think the correct behaviour would be:
* the user should select the attribute(s) to plot (so this should go to the top
of
the form, as it is now the only thing the user has necessarily to deal with)
* the max value should be autofilled with the highest value of the variables
selected

The problem I see here is, that
a) you don't know when the user finished selecting attributes (unless he's clicking ok, that's what I do now) b) if you change the field after every change in the attribute selection, a manually defined value may be overwritten

The way around this would IMO be a checkbox
[x] Use maximum value

I don't know what the current release plan is (GUI freeze, as fas as I remember, should already be in place?)

* It would be nice that on reopening the user will find the last used tab,
instead of
going back to the first one.
* The default for scale dependent visibility should match those on the General
tab
rather than being -1.

All done. Thank you for the inputs.

I'd be glad if you could give it a short test.

Done, thanks a lot. Much more usable now, I believe.

All the best.
