Some months ago I opened a ticket about this [1]. I see that InitSpatialMetadata is still called without the parameter, which makes it being attached to a transaction. It is veeeeeeery slow on Windows, because of the Spatialite version. Will the next 2.4 have an updated Spatialite (> 4.1), which will prevent it from running inside a transaction?
