Hi, Doing some test on 2.5. I'm a little bit surprised by rendering mode between 2.5 and 2.4. Is there any change? First QGIS 2.5 is slower than 2.4 with same data. And rendering mode looks like an impressionist painter drawing randomly small area on canvas for vector and draw pixels for raster, both before full rendering correctly done...
