On install of QGIS nightly on a "fresh" Mac, starting it up leaves you with:

File "/Users/gsherman/Desktop/QGIS_2.5-dev.app/Contents/MacOS/../Resources/python/plugins/processing/algs/qgis/postgis_utils.py", line 28, in
    import psycopg2
File "/Users/gsherman/Desktop/QGIS_2.5-dev.app/Contents/MacOS/../Resources/python/qgis/utils.py", line 460, in _import
    mod = _builtin_import(name, globals, locals, fromlist, level)
ImportError: No module named psycopg2

Closing the error box brings QGIS up and it will function, sans the postgis_utils...

I know what this means and how to solve it, but should a clean install leave the user wondering what's wrong?
