Hello, I updated http://hub.qgis.org/issues/5606 with a pull request that allows the delimited text provider to also infer long and longlong as a type (instead of treating those as doubles). I also did a couple more pull requests on github (under name: carolinux). Would be nice if somebody looked at them.
