Hello, I was confronted to the same issue and was wondering why this message appeared. Thanks to Denis, I now understand the reason.
I tried to disable snapping, save the project and restart QGIS, this behaviour is still present when I want to insert a new feature. Can somebody else confirm that? Thanks.
