Why am I now getting an SSL Certificate expired message when I load

Hi Grant,
Probably my fault, I arranged a new ssl certificate for *.qgis.org but
did not put it on the qgis server(s) yet... so current certificate is
not valid anymore. Will do this asap...
To be more precise: during startup, QGIS is requesting the latest
version of QGIS by requesting:
https://ubuntu.qgis.org/version.txt [0]
And that one does not have a valid certificate at this moment.
@devs: I still think this should be an opt-in option instead of current
situation
Regards and sorry for this fuzz...
