Where I work somebody decided to use sharepoint as our document handling
system - I will save you for my opinion on that!

But it means that typically my GIS layers are stored at places like:
\\files\Projects\11000382XX\1100038233\GIS\Layers\

And I se no way of getting to there in the QGIS browser window?

And as the "Change data source" for a layer is based on the browser I cannot
use this feature.

I can map the network drive but with many people working on the same data I
need to assure that they will map it the same way as the mapping will be
stored in the project file.
