I am facing this strange problem: I could not get manageR loaded. I've installed all possible dependencies (as far as I could find searching the web) and it worked. After I install rgdal in R it stoped working!!! What did the installation of rgdal "hurt"?
Thank you Nikos P.S. I get following message on qgis start-up: Couldn't load plugin "manageR" from ['/home/nik/.qgis//python/plugins', '/usr/share/qgis/python', '/usr/share/qgis/python/plugins', '/usr/lib/python25.zip', '/usr/lib/python2.5', '/usr/lib/python2.5/plat-linux2', '/usr/lib/python2.5/lib-tk', '/usr/lib/python2.5/lib-dynload', '/usr/local/lib/python2.5/site-packages', '/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages', '/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/Numeric', '/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/PIL', '/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gst-0.10', '/var/lib/python-support/python2.5', '/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gtk-2.0', '/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/gtk-2.0', '/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/wx-2.8-gtk2-unicode', '~/.qgis/python'] Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 2, in File "/home/nik/.qgis//python/plugins/manageR/__init__.py", line 35, in from manageR import manageRPlugin File "/home/nik/.qgis//python/plugins/manageR/manageR.py", line 40, in import domanageR File "/home/nik/.qgis//python/plugins/manageR/domanageR.py", line 39, in from rpy import * File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/rpy.py", line 134, in """ % RVERSION) RuntimeError: /usr/lib/atlas/liblapack.so.3: undefined symbol: ATL_chemv RPy module can not be imported.
