Tks for returns,

No solution yet.

art...@rgsg:~$ grep garmin /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
# most apps now use garmin usb driver directly (Ubuntu: #114565)
blacklist garmin_gps

art...@rgsg:~$ sudo modprobe garmin_gps

art...@rgsg:~$ sudo lsmod | grep gps
garmin_gps 14947 0
usbserial 33019 1 garmin_gps

art...@rgsg:~$ gpsbabel -w -i garmin -f USB: -o gpx -F gps.gpx
Found no Garmin USB devices.

Any other idea?

Tks

Hello!

Maybe a look to the log file can give some clues: Plug in the GPS, wait a few seconds and afterwards open a console and type 'dmesg' (without the quotes, obviously) - there should be something about usb and usb-storage or similar. Post this part of the output (last 20 lines or so), maybe we find a hint...

Best regards,
Albin
