Hi, Depending on what you mean by "analysis of flow of water as from an image of satellite" you might also want to try BASINS/Mapwindow. I don't think these do what you want, but I could be wrong. If they do, they are more user friendly than Grass or even Saga.

GRASS has got several hydrological/hydraulic model flow routes through Digital Terrain Model. Here is a link to some of the simulation modules within GRASS: http://grass.fbk.eu/intro/modelintegration.html If you want detail simulation tool to calculate depth, velocity, hazard, etc based on shallow water equations, you can use AnuGA: http://datamining.anu.edu.au/ We wrote a plugin for mesh generation within QGIS, so that you can use QGIS as pre-processing tool: http://sourceforge.net/projects/anuga-gai/ Hope that helps Saber On Thu, 2011-05-05 at 13:01 -0500, MONJARAZ wrote: > Good morning > > I am new in qgis use and besides bad with the English language, I want > to know if somebody can help me for knowledge like doing the analysis > of flow of water as from an image of satellite. > > Thanks
