Yep, ArcGIS does the same thing under the same name too, so it's not an uncommon feature. Unfortunately I do need it to be a QGIS extension because we have a pre-deployed QGIS project that is interested in it. However, it's an "icing on the cake" feature, so not mandatory. Thanks though, Jonathan
