you mean the darker horizontal crossing blue lines, isn't it? Had a problem with broader stripes (alternating coloured and void) on a map print from QGIS 1.6 composer sometime last year as well. I am not sure any more whether this ocurred with a raster, could be with vector data. Solved it by printing to PDF (with PDF creator).
