But i am unable to get real time tracking to work even if i star qgis as root or use gpsbabbel to work or the gpsbabbel plugin to work. Bus 002 Device 005: ID 091e:0003 Garmin International GPS (various models) I love qgis / grass and have migrated to a pure Linux system although i can use mapinfo in wine but it really does not add anything useful to the equation. any help would be appreciated i have this issues with previous versions of qgis and Ubuntu not the root issue.
