Those buttons apply the selected transformation, so they change
the layers and map CRSs according to that transformation.

If direct is choosen then all the loaded layers with CRS equals
to System_From will be changed by setting their CRSs to the
custom CRS A, the map CRS instead will be changed to the
custom CRS B, i.e. it reprojects layers from CRS A to CRS B
using the grid file.

On the contrary, choosing the inverse transformation the map
CRS will be set to the custom CRS A and all the layers having
CRSs equal to System_To will be changed to the custom CRS B,
i.e. it reprojects layers from CRS B to CRS A using the grid file.

Sorry if it is not well documented, nobody asked for it before so
I supposed its behaviour was quite obvious.
