Hello Brett
You can only colour different by clicking at Single symbol and choose either
Categorized or Graduated.
The you can colorize by values from the attribute table.

In MapInfo I was used to colourize individually - but not in QGIS. A big change.

Hi Folks.

I have 4 separate lines in one shp file. Can I colour them each differently
and give them each a different pen style? Will these characteristics them be
saved when into the shp file?

Thanks in advance.
