I am also having trouble figuring out how to load OpenStreetMap data. I have not found the documentation for this feature. I first chose Vector/OpenStreetMap/Download Data and I got a file with a .osm extension. I then chose Vector/OpenStreetMap/Import Topology form XML. A window opened where I could choose my downloaded data and save a new file with a .db extension. I then chose Vector/OpenStreetMap/Export topology to SpatiaLite. I got a window that lets you set the export type and a layer name. Clicking ok seems to process but nothing shows up on the map. Do I need to check the items available in the window after pressing the Load from DB button?
I just tried clicking the button a second time and I get an error message saying that the layer already exists. Then the layer does show up. Perhaps this is a bug. -Joe On Oct 7, 2013, at 12:27 AM, Andre Joost wrote: > Am 06.10.2013 12:17, schrieb Cascafico Giovanni: > >> I attempted >> >> vector> Openstreetmap> import >> >> dialog informed me of a successful operation, but where are the 3 layers? >> Map pane permanently empty :( >> > > Have you performed the last step vector ->Openstreetmap -> Export to > spatialite? > > That's where the layers are created. > > HTH, > André Joost > > > > _______________________________________________ > Qgis-user mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user _______________________________________________ Qgis-user mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
