Thanks for the answer Jonathan, but I don't believe this answers my question.
If I change the font setting under Settings | Options | General, it also changes ALL the fonts for the GUI. I only want to be able to change the default font for the composer for a particular project. I have been told that I can edit the project file in a text editor and change all font instances to the font that I want. But I'm not happy with that solution either because it would mean completing the project and then changing everything. I would prefer to be able to see what my layout looks like as I am creating it. Font size and font weight play a big part in the look and feel of a map.
