you maybe right. However we do not know :-) . I was under the impression it is a simple polygon with only one ring with less than 4 points. ring0 is the first (and if it is a plain polygon the only) ring, isn't it?

You may try to correct the invalid feature with the PlainGeometryEditor
plugin: https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/plaingeometryeditor/

Here you can manually edit each ring and vertex by manipulating the
coordinates in a text-field.
