I'm curious why the georeferencer creates a wld world file instead of a
tfw. Reading other sites, appending a w on to the raster filename seems to
be the standard convention. I just created my first georeferenced tif. I
missed the wld world file and thought I'd had done something wrong. Now
that I know, it is no big deal, but I'm curious as to why.

Thanks,
Clifford
