Dear all,
Recently, the QGIS plugin website has introduced a "trusted" flag for
plugins.
Following a question at
http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/203116/what-does-the-trusted-flag-mean-for-qgis-plugins,
that has nothing to do with the approval process, but just indicates
that the plugin is from a trusted author.
Perhaps the flag should be expanded from "Trusted" to "Trusted Author"
to make things clearer. Any opinions from the user's side?
I just noticed the flag, and my initial assumption was that this was
linked to the approval process. So yes, Trusted author would make it
clearer what this flag means.
It still might be that the account of a trusted contributor gets
hacked, and malware is spread under his name. So no perfect safety
here (as anywhere).
Greetings,
André Joost
