Hi, This looks like a good bug report! I would do one. Have you tried making a virtual field with the attributes? This way, you can query two fields and not an attribute and a field. The end result would be the same but perhaps, without a bug... I have been doing that with no trouble for a couples of weeks now for a project. Never tried doing it your way exactly.
