Hi,
3857 is pseudo Mercator used for web. Google earth would be this epsg but not 
the LiDAR.  Look for the local utm zones or local projection in meters (or 
perhaps feet) and go to layer, selected a CRS for the layer.  This will correct 
the wrong CRS.
