Hi, I would start by creating a new user profile the. Restart QGIS using that profile. Then, I would look at the network server. Look at the latency to access this server? What is the speed for the data transfers? Try copying the file locally and test for speed. Then, wms services could be very slow. I would remove those from the projects and test.
