Hello Roland,

thanks for reply!

We are using vertical datums transformation in QField, here Transformation in X, Y and Z from GNNS into our MGI with gridshift is working correkt!

Herzliche Grüße

Hi Peter,

regarding your last point - are you aware of
https://www.bev.gv.at/Services/Produkte/Grundlagenvermessung/Hoehen-Grid.html
In recent versions QGIS has learned about vertical datums - I use Höhen-Grid in our own processing workflow (not QGIS-related) for transformation from ellipsoidal height to Höhe über Adria, but I think it could work in QGIS as well.
Grüße nach Tirol,
Roland

*Betreff: *[Qgis-user] QGIS GNSS NMEA Transformation Problem WGS84 to MGI Austria

Hello QGIS Users,

good morning from Winterwonderland Tirol in Austria!

GNSS NMEA interpreted as WGS84 in QGIS can do transformation with gridshift from ETRS89 to MGI, that is alredy working very good.

+proj=pipeline +step +inv +proj=tmerc +lat_0=0 +lon_0=10.3333333333333 +k=1 +x_0=0 +y_0=-5000000 +ellps=bessel +step +proj=hgridshift +grids=at_bev_AT_GIS_GRID_2021_09_28.tif +step +proj=utm +zone=32 +ellps=GRS80

GNSS NMEA data interpreted as WGS84, viewing on map is ok, but saving data in MGI (example 31254), default position_vector Transformation makes  30 cm gap (parameters are ok, this was before gridshift exists)!

+proj=pipeline +step +inv +proj=cart +ellps=WGS84 +step +proj=push +v_3 +step +proj=cart +ellps=WGS84 +step +inv +proj=helmert +x=577.326 +y=90.129 +z=463.919 +rx=5.137 +ry=1.474 +rz=5.297 +s=2.4232 +convention=position_vector +step +inv +proj=cart +ellps=bessel +step +proj=pop +v_3 +step +proj=tmerc +lat_0=0 +lon_0=10.3333333333333 +k=1 +x_0=0 +y_0=-5000000 +ellps=bessel

*How can I make gridshift from WGS84 to MGI like ETRS89 to MGI?*

*Does somebody know, is verticalshift working in QGIS (similar to gridshift in X, Y)?*

Herzliche Grüße
