Hi Boina, Other Mint users here? I've no experience with Mint itself, but would the Flatpak option be an option? See https://qgis.org/resources/installation-guide/#flatpak
What do you get if you just do 'apt install qgis'? Or else I would just go to install latest possible QGIS version using apt and instructions here: https://qgis.org/resources/installation-guide/#debian--ubuntu (not sure if Mint 22.1 is based on which Debian/Ubuntu, is it noble?) Not sure why you need the old version (I should go for the newest, the UI is not that changing in QGIS...). And some version of QGIS is better then nother? With Flatpak I was able to install 3.42 on a Almalinux stepstone/desktop recently... Regards, Richard On 08-05-2025 17:13, Boina via QGIS-User wrote:
Hello all. I'm new here and I've subscribed because I'm having problems installing Qgis. If is not the most mail list suitable, please let me know. I need to install a older Qgis version (3.34 perhaps 3.38) into my daughter laptop for a Qgis course. This laptop is running Linux Mint 22.1 Xia, derived from Ubuntu Noble. I've followed steps in download area specific for Ubuntu/Debian. After doing apt update, I can see all available versions doing apt list -a qgis. But when I try to install an specific version doing apt install qgis=1:3.34.3+40noble I get an error: package qgis=1:3.34.3+40noble not found in APT cache And is not possible for me install that version. Is only possible install the latest version?
