Hello all,
Thank you for your help.
I have been using grass in windows and in QGIS the grass toolbox.
I have an ASCII point file (12500 points) with coordinates and attributes that
I would like to open in QGIS and interpolate in the area of a polygon. I have
tried to convert the ASCII into a grass point layer in QGIS and in Windows
Grass. However, in QGIS I have not been successful in importing the file
because although I could see all the attributes in the table, the vector layer
only had 2 dimensions (I couldn’t find the way to –z flag the import command).
From Grass I had even more problems because I could not even convert the file
into a 2D vector. I was wondering if there is anyone that can give some
directions on how to import the point file in QGIS or windows grass and perhaps
some clues on how to interpolate the values with a polygon mask by kriging.
I have been using the commands:
v.to.db
v.db.update
and tried the v.surf.idw to see if something interesting would happen
