We have a site license for IDEA at work and most people use it. I tried using it for a while and the key bindings were too confusing and I just couldn't retrain my muscle memory quickly enough to be productive. The people on my team also have enough problems with it that I'm pretty leary of switching anyways. Eclipse does everything I need it to and it does it well enough that I don't find myself wondering what the devs were thinking when they write it that I feel inclined to switch. And to be fair I really have nothing against IDEA, I would be making this request whether I was an IDEA user or not. And if someone were to commit Eclipse project files and they were cluttering up commits then I'd make the same request about them.
