Ton'ys mention of the a-coupler and the IBM golf-ball reminded me of the first computer game I ever played - 'golf'. My opponent was an ICL 1900 mainframe and my screen was Tony's golf ball. I simply played the ball into the coupler and (eventually) it rolled out onto the white grass expanse of the continuous stationery of the 'line printer'..... and came to rest....who knows where? [Whether the latter was so named because it was 'on line' or because it printed in 'lines' - I never found out, but somehow I feel that someone is soon going to tell me. ;-)]
Now, how to get back on topic? :( I could tell you the great news that Windoze Cymreag (Windows in Welsh) is soon to be released - that will cheer Dilwyn up (he's been taking some co-lateral welsh-stick of late and deserves a boost. But, if I do tell you that it'll still not be on topic - so I won't. I get back by saying that I volunteered for Bruce's dual-ee's exercise and this is a FIRST TEST TRANSMISSION FROM THIS SUBSCRIBER - UNDER THE NEW ARRANGEMENTS. So there! Flack-jacket on!
