Strange problem with my website which I haven’t experienced before.
When I try to download a Word .doc file from my website, e.g. ql.doc it
prompts me to save
ql.wiz then of course tells me there is nothing on this computer to handle
“.wiz” files
(whatever those might be). It’s not just one specific .doc file it happens
with, it’s each and every one.
Having struggled with this for some time, five minutes after I sent the
message I found out what the problem was.
It happens if the PC had Word 2010 starter edition on it and was later
updated to a full version of office which then got a certain update. It
requires a registry fix, however there's different advices out there so
until I know which to trust...
So the documents on my QL website ain't broken after all...relief!
