Hi all, Just a quick note on progress & etc.
I built the server and tested it for a few days to make sure it's reliable and quick. Today I am installing joomla and phpbb and a couple of other niceties, to see what works well and what doesn't. The site's hidden so no point checking just yet... :) Also, had an education on the US postal system! I was going to a company named PostNet, who do mail for USPS, UPS and FedEx. What I didn't know is these guys are a bunch of cowboys. They take your money then send the package the cheapest way to maximise their profits, and will just hold onto it for days or even weeks if they don't know what to do with it. I found three packages there last Wednesday that they still hadn't passed on from the week before. Luckily, I recovered them and took them to a bonafide mailing location, and I will never do business with them again. From now on it will be USPS or Fedex, depending on weight and destination. Stiiiiiill waiting on some paperwork on the battery holders so the compliance logos are all legit :) I've got in the prototype new super-low-power Minerva boards and need to make a small modification. These boards are entirely SMD, small, and incredibly low power. Other things are moving forward. Some items have sold, so when I need parts I can just order them. Also, remember, I have a bunch of MPlanes! I will do a limited run of CUSTOM MPLANES which have built in hi-grade power supplies. These are amazing PSUs that are switch mode, and incredibly small, but can run anything you can plug in, including hard drives, floppies, etc. More on that later.
