one of the things I put aside while rooting in crates and boxes is a EPROM eraser ( UK version ) that accepts the Z88 cartridges. It rattles a little but I think the main board came loose which should be an easy remedy. Ended up with it, but I used a more commerciallarger hence semi bulk EPROM eraser that let me do batches of chips at a time, so I could do multiple EPROM carts in it if desired. Still has the trapdoor on the 'stick the cart in here' slot. Hows $25. plus postage strike anyone who might be interested? DID I say it is the UK version??
