I am doing this from memory, so may be worng!
It would be better on balance, I think, to have a mini help appended to
each message. This is just what the ql-hardware list does.
We get a lot of bandwidth reminding users to read the first email they
got from the list.
However, like mine, this disappears into the filing system bog.
