: The latest SG18 machine I know has serial-number SG18-010800 : (another german QL) and this machine was produced by Samsung : in Korea in May! 1986, one month after Amstrad bought Sinclairs : computer business. (Funny...did Amstrad forgot to cancel the : contract?)
Tony Tebby once told me during a trip to Eindhoven that far more QLs were produced than officially known. IIRC because Korea did not stop production immediately after the Amstrad take over, or even because there were other ways to get QLs than through Sinclair... I do not know the exact details. Arnould
