I think I found a nice solution to our problem with system locale messing up proj4 and thus QLandkarte. I read the current locale right befor initializing the application object and set the environment variable LC_NUMERIC to C. After initialization of the application I use the recorded locale for the translation table. It works on my system, but I would feel better if this is tested by different setups. Thus please "svn up" if you know what I mean and test. Oliver
