Hi all,

it's summer time, at least at this side of the bulb. Summer time is
adventure time. And to keep the memories of that summer you should write
a diary. That's why I have improved the diary function of QLandkarte GT.

If anyone ever noticed: The diary function has been there for a long
time. However it wasn't of much use. The wizard could make a skeleton of
the current loaded workspace, once you edited it you never could update.
That was pretty unsatisfying.

I changed it completely. Now a diary is linked to a project folder
(green) in the geo database. It will contain all waypoints and tracks of
that folder. However not those of sub-folders. You can edit the general
diary text and the comments of waypoints and tracks. The comments will
be synchronized with the real items. Thus a diary is another way of
editing comments for waypoints and tracks. You can add and remove items
from a folder without loosing the information as long as you do not
remove the items from the database. Imho this is a very convenient half
automated way to documents your activities.

And of course there are quite some bug fixes and patches from the
community. A nice add on is the track filter by azimuth. And I made
decluttering the OSM icon hell an option. Hope Felix appreciate it. A
nice move for netbook users is to toggle the toolview by ctrl+t.

Ok that's it. Enjoy the summer (or winter) with QLandkarte GT!

Oliver
