Hi Valeriy,

I think you will find most of the functions you need already implemented.

A fast way to open an already referenced map is to select File->Load Map from
the menu bar. A more convenient way is to use Map...(F1)->Edit/Create Map(F6)->
Create map collection... This will allow you to combine maps with same scale in
one layer. And you can stack several layers with different scale. The necessary
side information will be written in a *.qmap file. Once you save the file it
will be loaded instantly and the map will be added to the left hand map list
for quick access.

To get accustomed to QLandkarte GT I recommend reading
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/qlandkartegt/index.php?title=A_Grand_Day_Out

For manual track/route planning there are 2 screencasts to watch:

http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/qlandkartegt/index.php?title=Create_artificial_track_to_plan_a_tour

That is the current state of tour planning. It's not 100% as it evolved from
several requests over the years. But so far it fits all my recent needs. To
optimize it is a quite big construction site. But if you want to take the
challenge you are welcome. I can give you all hints and explanations you need.

HTH

Oliver
