Hi Helmut, Well the checkin date is the date I downloaded that stuff.
Generally speaking the date shouldn't be important. It's the GDAL Version that counts. And as far as I know I do not use any API <> version dependent stuff. Except this color band issue we had. Thus I would say everything > 1.8.x is fine. I would suggest to update the GDAL distribution in the SVN with every release. And if that is too much trouble it would be enough to update it only if there is a version step. And for all that want to compile the stuff themselves the same rules apply as for Linux. They have to make sure to use a larger version than the lowest recommended. And they have to place it with the very same directory structure in the win32 folder. If not the lib and include paths have to be given in cmake. Just another thing: You set the environment variables in the installer. That might not be a good idea if someone uses FWTools in parallel to QLGT. QLGT sets the necessary variables itself. See main.cpp line 178 ff. At least that is the plan. The result can be verified in the about dialog, right after the supported formats.
