Hi Oliver,

Thanks for the reply!

As ever, one good reply starts a dozen other problems.....

I followed your directions, all that QLGT qould allow was one single 
square of about 4Km sides.  I tried to export that square & that again 
wouldn't finish.

It also seems that I must make my selections with the menu bar, maybe I 
switched the function keys off somewhere???
