Hi all,

probably this is not the right place to ask this question, but if you
can help me nevertheless it would be great.

I'm experimenting with adding DEM's to maps.I've downloaded an .HGT file
from viewfinderpanoramas.org, and converted it to a .TIF thanks to
gdalwarp, as explained in [1].

I've then tried and added the optimised DEM to the streamed
OpenStreetMap, but I get an error warning me that the DEM projection I'm
using doesn't match the map projection. Specifically:

Map: +proj=merc +a=6378137 +b=6378137 +lat_ts=0.0 +lon_0=0.0 +x_0=0.0
+y_0=0 +k=1.0 +units=m +nadgrids=@null +no_defs

DEM: +proj=merc +lon_0=0.0 +k=1.0 +x_0=0 +y_0=0 +a=6378137 +b=6378137
+units=m +no_defs

So to me the difference seems to be in parameters "lat_ts" and
"nadgrids", which are not there in the DEM projection string.

I've tried to add both when running gdalwarp (gdalwarp -t_srs
"+proj=merc +a=6378137 +b=6378137 +lat_ts=0.0 +lon_0=0.0 +x_0=0.0 +y_0=0
+k=1.0 +units=m +nadgrids=@null +no_defs" -r cubic <source>.hgt
<target>.tif), but with no luck.

How should I pass "+lat_ts=0.0" and "+nadgrids=@null" to gdalwarp?
